Dig, Dig, Dig!

The following post features student writing.

The hole-digging crew.

Hola, Jake and Isabel here!

After a lengthy and restful weekend, we continued our work today in Morales Chupa (the community center).

The tasks we faced as a group consisted of digging, and solely digging. One group began the task of digging a four-meter hole, and got through half of the work today. The group worked as a well oiled machine, as we were able to form a cohesive rotation system. The other group faced the challenge of clearing a plot of land to provide a nice garden for the kids to play in.

The children today at Morales were very energetic, and although they were a source of fatigue, their positive energy lit up our day.

All in all, today was a tiring yet rewarding day for all!

Clearing space for the garden begins.

And continues…

After a long day’s work, we managed to dig down over two meters!
